Norklar Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Norklar mobile app. By installing or using Norklar, you agree to them.
Who we are
Norklar is published by Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. Your use of Norklar is also subject to the Norklar Privacy Policy and to the terms of the app store you downloaded it from.
License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Norklar on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. You may not sell, rent, or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
Your content
You own what you create in Norklar, including sessions, notes, photos, voice notes, and exports. Your content is stored on your device; we do not receive it and do not claim any rights in it. You are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep, because uninstalling the app or using Clear All Data deletes it permanently.
AI output
Norklar uses on-device AI models to help you think through problems. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. It is not professional advice, including medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional. You are responsible for how you use the output and for decisions you make based on it.
Third-party AI models
Norklar does not ship with an AI model. When you choose to download one, the file comes from Hugging Face and is made available by its publisher under its own license. Each model’s license is linked on the Model Download screen. Downloading or using a model means you agree to that license.
- Gemma models. Gemma is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use. Your use of Gemma models must comply with those terms, including the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy. Google and Gemma are trademarks of Google LLC.
- Qwen models. Qwen models are provided by their publisher under the license stated on each model’s Hugging Face page.
Model publishers and Hugging Face are independent of us. Norklar is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Alibaba Cloud, or Hugging Face.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Norklar, or any model you download through it, to:
- break any law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
- generate content that violates a model’s license or use policy, including the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy;
- harass, threaten, or harm others, or generate content that sexually exploits minors;
- tamper with the app’s security features or distribute modified copies of it.
Updates and availability
We may update, change, or stop offering Norklar or any feature at any time. Some features need a downloaded model and a device that can run it.
Disclaimer of warranties
Norklar and any AI output are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted or that it will not lose data.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Norklar or its AI output. Our total liability for any claim relating to Norklar will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Norklar at any time by uninstalling it. Your license ends automatically if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place you live.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The current version is always published at this URL with its effective date. If you keep using Norklar after a change takes effect, you accept the revised terms.
